In 1996, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed November 21st as World Television Day. On this day each year, the world has celebrated the power of television and its value to society. Today, we share a new video created by European broadcasters’ associations ACT, egta and EBU to highlight TV’s global importance.

On the subject of TV’s ongoing relevance, last week we released findings from our latest study, TV Matters. In keeping with the day’s theme, the project revealed that in all its forms, TV continues to play a central role in the lives of global audiences.

Happy World Television Day!
