Our recent Kids of the World study revealed that global kids thrive in today’s fast-paced world when they have strong support networks and a busy slate of activities that help them grow. The combination of being well-supported and well-equipped to flourish in a changing environment is leading kids to develop a fearless attitude toward life.

They describe themselves as curious (89%), confident (86%) and optimistic (86%). These traits underpin and sustain kids’ courageous spirit, which manifests itself in a number of ways.

Kids are open to trying new things, happy to work things out independently and know how to deal with failure. In fact, 85% of kids think it’s better to try something and risk making a mistake than never to try at all.

They’re determined to succeed, with 87% believing that they can accomplish anything if they work hard enough. At the same time, kids understand that they’re likely to encounter obstacles and setbacks. They even talk about having a Plan B or alternative options for their future aspirations.

Their approach to life is dynamic — 68% globally feel they are able to deal with whatever comes their way. Indeed, they are excited by the countless possibilities and opportunities ahead.

Kids of the world are supported today, equipped for the future and embracing life with a fearless excitement.
